Our Story

Lola and Lamide Osinkolu are the founders of Clean Breads. A bakery dedicated to serving those with diabetes and gluten sensitivities.

We know firsthand the challenges of navigating dietary restrictions. Our journey began when Lola faced a serious health scare that forced her to eliminate wheat and all wheat-based products from her diet.

As someone who loved bread, after receiving the news from her doctor to stop wheat products, she was determined to find a solution that allowed her to enjoy a wholesome, natural bread—free from chemicals, all-purpose flour, and preservatives.

The journey began in our own kitchen, where I experimented until I finally crafted a bread that not only satisfied my cravings but also supported my health.

Along the way, Lamide noticed that many people in our community with specific dietary restrictions were often left without a decent, nutritious bread loaf. He suggested we take action, and together, we launched ”Clean Breads” to offer a delicious, nutritious alternative for anyone who can’t eat traditional wheat bread—whether it’s due to gluten sensitivity, diabetes, or another dietary concern. Our mission is to make healthy eating simple and enjoyable for everyone.

Since launching, the response has been nothing short of inspiring. One customer, who hadn’t enjoyed bread in over a decade, was so happy to have discovered our bread. Another shared how his blood sugar levels remained stable before and after eating our bread.
